ALUMINUM ALLOY CONDUCTOR (AAC)
Use
- These cables are mainly used for overhead lines, in transmission and distribution electrical networks, requiring a high mechanical tension. They are also used as carrier for holding overhead electrical cables.
Description
1. AGS aluminum alloy wires according to NF EN50183 or IEC 601
Constrution
These conductors are formed by several wires of aluminum alloy stranded in concentric layers.
The wire(s) which form the core are made by aluminum alloy and external layer(s) are of alloy.
The aluminum alloy belongs to the Aluminum–Magnesium-Silicon group, which is also known in Europe as Almelec.
Rated voltage : H.V.A : > 1 kV & < 50kV
H.V.B : > 50kV
